With the party sounds still emanating loud and proud from Room 4 of the Dusty House, label chiefs Edwin and Joris take a trip back to HQ to welcome Ukrainian duo iO, for their debut release on Rejected.

Alex & Artem launched iO in february 2009, and ever since have been treating us to their brand of no nonsense, funk fueled, vibing tech- house.

In their homeland the pair host their weekly radio shows on the DJ FM and Kiss FM stations and last summer were awarded the prestigious honor of resident DJ's for 'Kazantip'. The biggest electronic music festival in the post USSR territory. An event that runs for a whole month.

iO's Diynamic Music release 'Cabaret' that really shot them onto the world's stage. A release that reached #02 on both the Resident Advisor monthly chart and Beatport's Tech-House run down.

Today's kickin' two tracker for Rejected sees the duo deliver yet more killer dancefloor vibes with 'Play The Same' and 'I Swear'. Lead track 'Play The Same' is all about its locked on groove. Loose beats, heavy bass, a warm sax line and moody vocal, all go into this tasty opener.

On the flip we have the instant party starter 'I Swear'. iO's trademark rolling beats are met with smooth rhodes keys and a soulful vocal line. As the track progresses, the bassline seems to increase its intensity and the groove drives us on.
