Mabaan Soul are back on Metroline Limited with their third release for the label. The talented Italian duo have been causing a stir in the house and techno underground world with their 2009 release on Metroline being charted by Chicago legend Dj Sneak in his best of the year chart! On top of that, another house legend Satoshi Tomiie after hearing their debut New Orleans EP on Metroline Limited, promptly asked the guys to release on his label Saw Recordings! The opening track Joseph is jacking disco groove with an insistent bass hook and infectious lead synth. Summer is nearly here! Frankfurt, is a love song for the original Robert Johnson crew - The good people of Frankfurt who really know what they’re dancing to. Its an intense 5am grind that brings driving European warehouse techno together with the deep soulful grooves of Detroit house. Inxec and Matt Tolfrey pump up the midrange on their remix. They pick out a nice groove, and build on it with bright and airy percussion while maintaining the original disorientating shuffle and boomin low end. Funky is definitely back. That rolling bassline keeps you locked in, and those brutal MPC-style percussion loops are would make Marley Marl proud.
