>Burnt Chrome< is Edwin James aka Currogated Tunnels first release on District of Corruption that he held until the right label came along. Edwin was determined to get this 10 minutes techno track onto vinyl without making any exceptions. Soon after DOC decided to sign track, Richie Hawtin added it to his favorites and hundreds of plays + comment. The Burnt Chrome ep also features a more forward new school rave remix from DoC head, Aaron Hedges, and Simon Beeston (DoC / Highgrade). This mix is a redux of the melodic beauty of the original with a more raw and percussive drive.

Edwin James has been a compelling act on the Dublin electronic scene since 2005, regularly playing live sets at home and abroad under his Corrugated Tunnel moniker, and has built up a reputation for producing beautifully crafted, melodic and deep electronic techno and house that resolutely stays clear of any genre or current trends.

His music has been released on Dance Electric, Night Vision Records, Systematic, Urban Torque, Rebirth, Dirty Works, Plastica, Elevation and ORK and he has remixed/produced tracks for artists such as DK7, Cherlonis R Jones, A:xus, Filterwolf, David Duriez and Def Disko.

He has also released two critically-acclaimed albums on the seedyR label, ‘We Are Electronix’ (2006) and ‘I Am Corrugated’ (2008). His highly anticipated third album ‘Minor Obsessions’ will be released on Process Recordings in October 2010 and features guest appearances from Chelonis R Jones, D’mia , Martin McCann, Antoinette and Deborah Kay.
