For this release we have something of a Nu Funk dream team with the creative coming together of two of the scenes biggest players, Ali B & Nick Thayer, What a Collaboration! Nick is no stranger to the label with a slew of monsters already on the label but this is the first time for Air records and Kiss Fm Legend Ali B. And the pair do not disappoint.
As expected every track on this three track Ep is killer with production values of
the highest order. First up is Music which grabs the audience from the very first
note of its horn riff and takes them on a Hip Hop and Funk fused dancefloor workout,
instant classic. This is followed up on the flip by the amazing groover N E Way,
with the fattest of basses it tears up everything in its path. Back To You a
forward thinking bass heavy monster of a track then rounds off the package.
All in all this is classic Bombstrikes, pushing the sound forward but maintaining
its appeal and dancefloor edge. This has to be one of the strongest releases
available at the moment!
