Al Kent’s Lower East EP continues the theme of Million Dollar Disco’s latest edits series, chopping and changing some fine disco moments, stripping out the boring bits and enhancing the good…
“I Can Feel It”, like “J’Adore” on The First Floor EP, started life as an overlooked disco beauty; unknown to most, but sought after by disco aficionados. Al’s twisted version has been getting great (“epic” as one DJ put it) reactions whenever he, or the handful of DJs blessed with preview copies, play it.
“Let’s Do It” is a proper dancefloor stormer: big hats, thumping snare, that even had some of the world’s most serious collectors stumped for an ID on first plays.
“Route Nine” is also heavy on the snare and hats, but with a slightly darker vibe, and of course an Al Kent twist.
Million Dollar Disco records are loved by the likes of Dimitri From Paris, Rahaan, Sadar Bahar, Jerome Deradji, Red Rackem, Bill Brewster, Greg Wilson, Horse Meat Disco, Nik Weston and many many more
