The titeltrack “brainwash” manoveres between all dance genres, but still it connects the different influences into a trippy and catchy Track. ItŽs based on a moog
bassline jumping on a Roland TR 505 groove with a voicesnippet on top abused till its selfoscillation.

The B1 track “Duracell/E-Baby is created out of a looped beat from an
old Wersi drumcomputer.

Originally built to add beats to the well known 70ies homeorgans,
the Teichmann Brothers made a jacking rocker between Chicago and
Berlin out of it. It's one of these tracks that sound old and new at the same time.


The final track on the EP is called “Stueck”, a kind of crazy discotrack, that reminds of Metro Area, but in a lofi version. Wersi circuits are also part of it and you can hear door by door studioneighbour Walker Barnard on the e-bass.

Zum 11-jährigen Labelbestehen gibt es endlich auch wieder Vinyl auf Festplatten. Die Brainwash Ep ist ein Vorgeschmack auf das zweite Gebrüder Teichmann Album, daß im Frühjahr 2011 folgt.

Drei Stücke finden sich darauf:
Das Titelstück “Brainwash” rangiert zwischen allen Stühlen, es passt in keine Schublade und verbindet dennoch unterschiedlichste Einflüsse elektronischer Musikgeschichte zu einem packendem und trippigen Track mit garantierter Sogwirkung. Brainwash wird von einem hüpfenden Moogbass und einem Roland TR505 Groove getragen, über dem sich ein Vocalschnipsel entfaltet, das zunehmend verbogen und schliesslich bis zur Selbstoszillierung misshandelt wird.

Das Stück “Duracell/E-Baby”, basiert auf einem Rythmusloop des altehrwürdigen Wersi Rythmusautomaten. Ursprünglich gebaut, um die in den 70igern beliebten Heimorgeln rythmisch zu begleiten, haben die Teichmänner daraus einen jackenden Rocker, zischen Chicago und Berlin geschaffen. Einer dieser Tracks der gleichermassen alt und neu klingt. Eine klare Aufforderung zum Ausflippen und wie der Titel schon vermuten lässt: Zappeln ist das Stichwort.

Abgerundet wird die EP von dem Stück “Stück”, eine reichlich verrückte Disconummer, die an eine Lofi Version von Metro Area erinnert. Auch hier hat der Wersibegleitautomat seine Schaltkreise im Spiel. Am E-Bass wird das Stück begleitet von Studionachbar Walker Barnard, den man auch von seinen Releases auf We Are, und District Of Corruption kennt.
