After a solid year of releases and widespread acclaim from post-Dubstep, House and UK Funky tastemakers alike Deep Teknologi Records sign off from a fruitful 2010 with a vinyl-only compilation of this years favourites from the label.
Kicking things off is J. Bevin with the hard-hitting 'When It Comes'. A track that commands your attention with it's devastating synth-lead and savvy drum percussion. Supported by the likes of Jackmaster, Sinden and L-Vis 1990 this one is a guaranteed floor-filler and a must for those toggling between House and Dubstep tempos.
The mysterious Don Morris also makes an appearance with two tracks from DTR001, the EP that kicked it all off. 'Amiga' is a rolling 4/4 cut that builds at it's own pace with chopped up vocals and carries that timeless Detroit sound that still remains so relevant in today's electronic music scene. On the B-Side 'In Da Groove' jacks it's way into your heart with it's reverberating bassline and spoken word narrative that perfectly fits into place on this late night Deep House jam.
The compilation finishes up strong with West London native Zander Hardy's tribal stomper 'Signalling' which fuses raw percussive elements with squelching synths for maximum dancefloor impact.
