Got A Hold Of Me featured on this highly-collectable Canadian 12 inch pressing from Mercury was a massive favourite of David Mancusos at his legendary Loft parties and understandably so. A tight percussive groove topped with beautiful swirling strings and the big mans soaring sexy vocals, this special long version provides ten minutes of blissful dubbed-out disco heaven which still rocks dancefloors today for any DJ lucky enough to have a copy. The flip is also rather good, with I Just Live, a very useful funky workout with another positive message that includes some fantastic percussion and great harmonica action. Top class!
