Originally on Cosmo Vitelli’s parisian label I’m A Cliche, Runaway’s “Dead Dog Farm” finds additional life with On The Prowl releasing four new stunning remixes. The original version exitst as a beautiful blend of live instruments recorded by NYC’s Brennan Green.
A1: Sal Principato needs no introduction. Ever heard of Liquid Liquid? This time around Sal P invites current production pal Sean Bee to help guide his vision. Their remix pulls a string in your heart where you get the impression that you’re hearing something special, with Sal actually playing percussion with spoons. Organic tribal dance music done right.
A2: Coyote spreads things out for maximum room. Forward moving dubbed out elements create a long psychadelic journey into the unknown. Coyote takes Jacques’ live viola playing into dark waters and adds light tribal percussion for the ride.
B1: Andy Ash gives Dead Dog Farm his signature tough stompy disco house approach with cut up drum loops and synthy tech house style swells. It becomes the most peak time version of the bunch.
B2: Simoncino, man known for his utter love of proto house and analog gear collecting treats DDF as if it were one of his recent Party Breaks tracks…Synths create the melodic flutter and also fill the mid range with upfront analog pads. 80’s drum machines provide the backdrop.
