The EP opens with >Hypnotic Bass<, a track with a very groovy gnaoua rythm. The sound of the guembri gives the production a very warm sensation. Next up is >Deep Medina<, the title track. A real journey, the vocals are strong while Sidi Mohammeds lute elicits shivers. The melody manages to sound traditional while modern at the same time. >For Hou!!!<, the closing track, Philip Bader perfectly works the acoustic samples, resulting in a characteristically berlin minimal sound. The kick and the bass are very heavy.
