Ltd 2017 Repress, James Priestly and Giles Smith will celebrate 10 years of secretsundaze, kicking off with a 12 inch from Parisian young house producer Brawther. Remix from Hotflush prodigy George FitzGerald is deeper in a techno jungle and boss too.
After reaching its 10th year of existence, Secretsundaze will finally launch its 12” singles label in May 2011, as well as re-launching the critically acclaimed compilation series.
Secretsundaze, created and run by school friends Giles Smith and James Priestley is of course best known for its summertime Sunday parties which have become the stuff of legend, attracting DJs from the world of House and Techno such as Carl Craig, Ricardo Villalobos, Kenny Larkin, Efdemin, Cassy and Chez Damier. The boys have taken the party across the world with regular sessions at Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, Ibiza and as far a field as Japan and New York.
The singles label aims to further our reputation for breaking new talent, releasing music from some of the many cutting edge artists on our sister booking agency, The Secret Agency www.thesecretagency.net.
The first releases come from Chez Damier's young protégé Brawther; the much loved Two Armadillos (Giles Smith and Martin Dawson's project); and the young but very promising UK duo, Ethyl and Flori. Despite having our roots in Deep House the label will not be limited to releasing material of this type / sound and nor from just our existing roster of artists.
Furthermore, following on from the highly acclaimed secretsundaze Volumes 1 and 2 compilation CDs, Volume 3, again mixed by it's longstanding residents and founding fathers Giles Smith and James Priestley will be released in June / July 2011.
So after 10 years in the making, the next chapter of our history unfolds with the extension of the artist based singles label. Good things come to those that wait as they say.
