Heading up the label’s debut ‘E.P. One’ is A side ‘Fomo’ by Acid Mondays aka Negghead or Dan Ward to his mates. With a string of enviable releases on heavyweight labels such as 20:20 Vision, Warp, Wax On and Cr2. Dan comes strong with a peak time house killer teeming with raw drums, sinister bass and old school warehouse vibes.

Hailing from the mean streets of Philadelphia, Sound Between Movement label boss Sean Thomas delivers house bomb ‘Fantasizer’. Representing Philly’s house scene for nearly two decades with a DJ career spanning back to 1994, deep, solid house grooves is the key to Sean’s style. Illusion has happily bagged his full EP, due out next year.

Flipping over to the B Side, Illusion welcome legendary West Coast house don, DJ Ali back from a long hiatus hidden away in Vancouver. ‘Park Your Mind’, featuring the vocals of old production partner Tim Fuller, is heads down, drugged out tech house sporting classic DJ Ali drums, percussion and creepy vocals that fill the voids in the mind created by late nights and even later next days. It’s an exciting return to form and one that heralds more material due out on Illusion this summer.

Completing the full vinyl release is Sydney’s No.1 party Liaison Garry Todd. Having left his native Sunderland for sunnier shores; DJ, producer and party assassin Garry has been based between Sydney and Ibiza the last 6 years chasing the never-ending summer. ‘Dice Me Up’ is a slung back funk filled disco house affair with a punchy bass, soulful keys, audacious vocals and classic 80´s stabs reminiscent of Prince’s electro funk grooves. Garry’s debut EP is up next on Illusion featuring remixes by The Mole and Death On The Balcony.

Leeds-based duo Paul Hargreaves & Mark Caramelli aka Death On The Balcony step up with the beautifully intricate deep house of ‘Silhouette’, perfect for those laid back summer days and nights when you have not a care in the world. Last cut comes courtesy of up and coming Leeds producer Josh T, one of the driving forces behind one of the UK’s leading house nights, Louche with recent releases on Veryverywrongindeed and label of the moment Hot Creations. ‘Call Me Tonight’ is spaced out house with solid funk grooves and tightly crafted beats.
