The ‘Machine Love EP’ is a feast of analogue bass, rolling beats and swinging grooves. Kicking off with the title track; ‘Machine Love’ is all about classic beat making and the electronic revolution, featuring the hypnotic build of 808 drum patterns and the deep swinging bassline. It’s a subtle space jam full of old school soul and classic vocal charm and will have all the house heads nodding in agreement.
‘Recorded In The Garage’ continues in a similar vein of retro leanings and magnetic drum loops. The delicately tribal groove underpinning the classic deep, house melody as textured percussion unfolds with echoing vox, soaring synths, glowing pads and low-key funk.
Completing this repertoire of ‘Machine Love’ is B-Side ‘System and A Diana’ – a pure deep trip of smooth, bouncing grooves that build from Prince-esque funky beats and pulsing bass to fluid, classic grooves you can get lost in. Warm floating pads ripple through disembodied vocals and the mood is lit for burning sunrise sets.
