11 track double vinyl album from new Mark Broom and James Ruskin supergroup ! Limited initial run on marbled grey vinyl - similar look to the recent sfbsf003 Surface 12inch Full picture sleeve. The project, knows as The Fear Ratio, has seen two of the UKs finest proponents of no-nonsense, immaculately sculpted techno locked in the studio together. These sessions have already borne three 12 inch titles - No Time Soon, Erotic Misery and Night Nurse – two of which were released on Ruskins Blueprint Records, with the other pressed up on Brooms Beard Man imprint. The Fear Ratio moniker was adopted following the release of these club-focused 12s, with the album project honing in on more abstract and experimental textures. Ruskin revealed details about the project in an interview earlier this year. He said a live Fear Ratio project was also in the works, with a press release claiming these would commence in 2012. As The Fear Ratio, Broom and Ruskin delve into the hinterland of contemporary music. A space where cold atmospheres meet lush melody and tough, yet clipped pulsating beats.
