Building from the source material, they transform "Apeman" into a tropical bass behemoth, upping the booty-thumping quotient with a whomping sub bass drum and cavernous reverbs.
A remix from Detroit resident Monty Luke (Black Catalogue/Planet E/Mothership) launches "Apeman" into orbit, fitting the original to a classic floor-friendly house template while introducing a cosmic organ line and vertiginous analog string pads.
Closing out the release, "More Fucking Apes" riffs liberally on a similar tip, swapping out the visceral synths of "Apeman" for a dubbier, more skanked-out vibe. However, a breakdown into a soaring portamento organ solo ultimately subjects the dance floor to the law of the apeman.
