The unstoppable My Favorite Robot Records returns with a new single from Lightbluemover featuring a collaboration with regular partner Black Light Smoke and a remix from My Favorite Robot, James Teej & Nitin… Lightbluemover is the moniker adopted by DJ/Producer Francis Harris best known for his work as Adultnapper.
Harris has released on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Poker Flat & Simple over the years and enjoyed a strong following for his string of stellar singles. The Lightbluemover name came to life in 2011 with a collaborative single with Black Light Smoke on Steve Bug's Hafendisko label and it's with Black Light Smoke AKA Jordan Lieb that Harris now returns for this new single for My Favorite Robot Records. The EP kicks of with the original version of the wonderfully title 'Children of a Lesser Dog' which sees Harris & Lieb turn in a superb slice of mutant slo-mo house with a quirky off beat feel. Heavily effected vocals, off kilter sound FX and skittering percussion weave together with a rich & warm bassline to create something truly unique. The original version is followed by a remix featuring the Canadian super pairing of My Favorite Robot, James Teej & Nitin who add length to the title of the record with their 'remix of a remix of a remix remix'! Their version takes things down a dark and atmospheric route, adopting a squelching acid bassline and delivering an early hours floor filler that is a real gem. Finally Harris goes solo for 'Bitter Bee', a bumpin, electro tinged cut that draws on a great repetitive synth loop to create an intense feel for the full eight and half minutes, quality stuff. 'Children of a Lesser Dog' is another winner from the My Favorite Robot Records stable and a producer who can be relied on to deliver something special.
