Limited reissue of a very rare and highly in-demand 1986 12 inch from Indian Ocean, alias of late great disco legend and Sleeping Bag founder Arthur Russell. Although Russells original version on Side A is fantastic in itself, the stunning abstract Walter Gibbons mix on Side B is where its all at. With irrepressible madcap Gibbons at the helm, the track mutates into a strangely subversive dancefloor odyssey way ahead of its time which still sounds futuristic today. With a raw sparse experimental sound, this progressive sonic journey rolls along for over 10 minutes pulsating with a jazz-influenced interplay of funk-heavy bongos, stabbing synths, off-the-wall vocals and Russells trademark cello.
