When Dynamodyse made his debut on WPH back in 2009 he struck a chord (pun intended) with lovers of emotional deep house worldwide. Hailing from Dortmund, Mathias Matze Schmitt is a special character that immediately fit the bunch of WPH nutters, so it was only a matter of time before he would be back with a second release. Which incidentally will be his second release ever, which goes to show how much he trusts WPH and how much WPH trusts Dynamodyse.
Sales Information:
On the A-side ‘Always Toujours’ opens up the E.P. with piano house bliss. The most immediate dancefloor-pleasing track of the release will not fail stirring things up for any serious house music DJ. ‘Quiet Quality’ also has a distinct piano melody in it, but you will have to be patient before it arrives, warmed up and drenched in strings and sexiness, it was the track that label boss Red D fell in love with instantly.
On the B-side we first find ‘Driftwood’, vintage Dynamodyse and very much reminiscent of his first E.P. on WPH, St Germain meets Larry Heard or something like that. As a little bonus the B-side also holds the first solo remix by Red D ever. ‘Quiet Quality’ could never be made better, and so this remix only has some snippets of the original, built around part of the piano hook. The rest is a peek of what you can expect from Red D in the future.
WPH continues its coloured vinyl-only series in style: pink and deep. We leave the rest to your no doubt vivid imagination…
