The first ever house music that came to the ears of Benny Rodrigues was the Planet E radio show from Michel de Hey in Rotterdam in the early 90's. The first label he fell in love with was EC Records and EC96 has been waiting for him all these years :-)

This release sums up the way Benny fell in love with house. Music made in 2012, but inspired by the productions that were played in the clubs and on the radio in the 90's in Rotterdam. The Nostalgia EP brings you back to the days of Mr G and the early days of Fnac Records. From strong solid basement grooves to deep chordy Detroit techno. The Future named after the infamous Friday night in Rotterdam "Nighttown", delivers instant crowd reaction in both the orginal and the superb Nic Fanciluli remix. Benny has been establishing himself as a hot producer the last two years. Under his techno alias ROD he just remixed the all-time classic "Positive Education" by Slam and his numerous ROD tracks are hammered by the whole Dettmann/Klock gang. Apart from his dark side, Benny Rodrigues keeps on dropping tracks for cool labels; Be As One, Suara, Saved, Boysnoize Records...
