With the sounds of Seba still fond in the memory, Nu Directions returns after a brief haitas. The next release comes in the form of a split 12 from 2 burgeoning production outfits that are causing a stir on the drum & bass scene of present, June Miller and Heavy1. Both tracks have seen support from some of the scenes biggest tastemakers, with Andy C, Klute, Rockwell and Kasra all spinning regularly in their sets over the last few months.
June Miller have impressed recently with solid releases on labels such as Critical, Ram and Commercial Suicide. This release sees no dip in quality in the massive dancefloor smash ‘Turning Point’. Heavyweight bass and their trademark snapping beats provide the architecture to a classic June Miller production.
The flip sees Tokyo’s Heavy1 fresh from his excellent album on Rubik to take control with a minimal 2 step track that builds with electrifying FX and a growling bassline to suit.
