The >Just For Fun< EP starts with the title track Just4Fun, which in fact breathes fun and doesnt take itself too seriously. The funky and highly infectious keys and the butt shaking groove will remind you of a track that Moodymann never made, but wishes he had. Next comes Unlimited01 with a joyful piano melody that would fit right into a French disco with a funkier version of Alain Delon behind the decks. Still, the Rhodes chords, the slow sexy groove, the vocal hooks will get you moving in no time. Thang then goes into a more Detroit beatdown direction with its deep chords and smooth pads. It creates a mellow atmosphere with an almost relaxed summer feeling. This is what a funky pimp would listen to on a night car drive. The ep ends with spiritual almost tribal rhythms. Inspiration would be a nice soundtrack to a 70s orgy orchestrated by a groovy Guru, surrounded by a magical circle of mystical dancers. Over the top? Sure, but the track would certainly get this party going.
