The next release on UK imprint LNUK sees London producer Boxwork step up for his debut full release, a self-titled 4 track EP
Sales Information:
Relatively unheard of until he gained early support from Rinse FM’s Seb Chew and Mary Anne Hobbs on her landmark XFM show, the elusive Boxwork has been quietly gaining admirers since both started playing his music and invited him to record guest mixes for their shows last year.
A number of well received remixes followed, including for Greenmoney featuring Terri Walker, and a remix for Py & George Fitzgerald's 'Lungs' for her ‘Tripping on Wisdom’ Mixtape. 2012 saw him close out the year with a free release on Kerri Chandler’s Madtech imprint alongside Cloaka, the tough as nails ‘Toppin Up’. The Boxwork EP showcases the full range of the producer’s talents. Across varying tempos Boxwork’s unique sense of percussion and rhythm is bolstered by bass heavy grooves and clever sampling, a nod to his stated hip hop and soul influences. Four cuts of uncompromising dance floor music that work just as well in the headphones, The Boxwork EP announces the arrival of this young producer to the world with serious intent. Support from Hackman, South London Ordnance, Visionist, Jon Rust (Standard Place), Mary Anne Hobbs.
