King Street Sounds and Dope Jams team up again in re-releasing more fine jewels from NYCs heyday, all featured on the latters celebrated 2012 Classic House Grooves offering. Essential and immortal dance music reissued for generations old and new.

First up is DJ Romain’s “All Day, All Night,” a jubilant, vocal-sample laden masterpiece that’s an excellent example of mid-1990’s cut-up and spliced deep house craftsmanship at its best. Rounding things off are a couple of vocals from the NY garage fold: the breathtaking and silky-smooth precision of Eric Kupper’s remix of “What Do I Gotta Do” by Urban Soul, and Bassmental’s “It’s The Music,” a classic statement of purpose conjured by the collaborative genius of Kerri Chandler and Yahya McDougald.
