It all started in 2000, when he occured on the very early Perlon # 13. Dandy Jack and Ricardo Villalobos aka Ric’y'Martin on the A-side, that b-sided Stephan Laubner track was the early night out soundtrack, that would stay forever in all the Dj cases collecting the minimal sound in an interesting way. While founding his own label Something, everybody knew about Laubners very own musically language. Some northern interpretations of Theo Parrish influenced grooves and textures and his very unique dub works. “Silent State” on Smallville 12 became a hit, appearing on several compilations and podcasts. Cassy, Tama Sumo, Lawrence and many more featured the track, which still hypnotizes dancers every weekend. What makes the sound of STL so special?
