Since the early 80s MadDisco has been heavily into hip hop and electro, recording his favourite stuff from the radio until the late 80s when he started collecting vinyl and djing, Chicago house and Detroit techno were the first genres he went for after hearing them at the club rip in clink street, quickly followed by Balearic, disco, funk, dub and ambient music some of which he heard at Danny Ramplings club Shoom

Sales Information:

after several trips to the USA and Italy to find those elusive 12" he decided to try and make his own music, and in 1993 he brought his first equipment, a Roland 808 and Ensoniq mirage keyboard, and finally in 1998 he released his first 12" ep, 5 tracks written, produced and mixed my himself, distributed by metropolis it sold all around the world.

after a long break from working in his studio MadDisco is back, producing his own material but also doing some edits, these edits stay true to the original versions as much as possible, very little eqing or production are used and each edit only includes material from the original recording, these edits are only intended to be more dance floor friendly.

Disco, funk, jazz, soul or dub, some of the tracks are well known while others much more obscure, and with a healthy collection of vinyl that he has been collecting since 1989 there will be no shortage of releases in the very near future.

A1. The track Butterfly is a Herbie Hancock song covered by Eddie Henderson with Herbie on keys, originally more of a jazz fusion track with different tempos i have edited it for peak time dance floor play by extending the disco jazz funk parts, resulting is a smoking dance floor track guaranteeing a dancing storm on your dance floor.

A2. Stripped down to just the percussion break down with vocal chants providing the dj with a storming dance floor filler that takes no prisoners.

B1. This beautiful jazz fusion track has been edited to give it that cosmic disco dance floor appeal, seriously deep space music here, transform your dance floor into an outer space experience.

B2. The cosmic theme continues with this mid tempo electronic disco boogie delight, groove is infectious, add some great synth leads, strings, Fx's and pumping beats = dance floor heaven.
