40 Minutes Of Jamaican Dub Disco After Growing Up On A Healthy Diet Of Industrial- And Synth Music.
Sales Information:
Wonderful release! Words of the label: 'Our friend and brother in arms Joel Brindefalk passed away in early 2013, 37 years young. He is still here though, and will always be. His art and music will be with us, in our hearts and ears, as well as the memories of our uncompromising, empathic, cynical, stubborn and beautiful comrade. Joel was always ahead of the rest uf us, and the LP you are holding in your hands is what came out of his creativity indulging in Jamaican dub after growing up on a healthy diet of industrial- and synth music. This is deep, warm electronic dub, made on some crap equipment he struggled with to get what he wanted. He let worlds collide, and had a master plan in his music. Music that is bigger than life itself, by an artist that always put his art in the first place. We both had the great pleasure of growing up with Joel, see the progress of his music and to release it on our labels. It was never easy to work with him, but always worthwhile (it let us get an idea of his advanced creative process). We miss our friend and collegue. The only comfort available is his legacy, his music. ''Doobedoo Dub'E'Dope'' is the first archival LP in a series made possible by kind donations by Joel Brindefalk's family and friends. It will be released mid april 2014, one year after his funeral in Karlskrona, Sweden.' Joachim Nordwall, iDEAL & Jan Svensson, Borft.
