With a discography that includes releases on Night Vision, Be As One Imprint, Applied Rhythmic Technology (ART) and Francois Ks Wave Music, Roberto Bosco commands a certain level of respect. Here Bosco surfaces on Balance with Introspective, a project that engages more explicitly with the styles and signifiers of tech house than the Italians previous work.
Leading the way is "When the Rain Comes Down", a smooth deep tech collaborative production with Jenifa Mayanja that's notable for its hook of eternal qualities. Also included in this project is a remix by up and coming young Italian producer Peter JD, who brings more of a club-ready vocal to the table. On the flip are two vinyl only "Untitled" productions that won't feature on the forthcoming Introspective long player and seem to take their respective cues from different eras of Detroit techno, with the first reminiscent of early Drexciya and the second very much grounded in raw, tape hiss laden sound of now.
