1984 (SLEEPARCHIVE / PERC REMIXES) (EP + CD)
12 Inch + CD
Technosoul is a group of dj s & promoters, responsible for some of the best Polish parties with techno music within the last years (with guests such as Robert Hood, Surgeon, Regis, James Ruskin and many others). The idea for a label was born a few years ago – it took more than reasonable amount of time to make it come true. The first release is produced by Piotr Klejment – member of Technosoul, previously known as 0311 and DJ Ninja. Remixes come from Perc and Sleeparchive. Includes the *Technosoul* mix-CD by Dtekk.
Opening the EP is the titular track – ''1984” is a dancefloor oriented track, with subtle nods towards Jeff Mills in his early Axis vein. ''Black March'' hits it deeper, with its post-acidish vibe, sounding bit like remnants of classic Sahko or Plastikman: fans of Rrose and Function will not be disappointed.
The B-side consists of monster remixes, provided by renowned techno producers from Berlin and London. Sleeparchive's take on ''Black March'' might be his finest remix since the one he did for Modeselektor: he changed the original track into nearly 8 minutes of sheer industrial madness. Ali Wells aka Perc, with his remix of ''Rose Path'' (the track which haven't made it to the final release), goes even further: its primal agression will work miracles during peak hours in clubs like Tresor or Berghain... Provided there are dj's brave enough to play it!
