Masterpiece! Inspired by Swedens iconic archipelago, >Skargard< is the new LP from Jesper Dahlbacks revered and long dormant alias, The Persuader.

Inspired by Sweden’s iconic archipelago, ‘Skargard’ is the new LP from Jesper Dahlbäck’s revered and long dormant alias, The Persuader. The LP will be released via Jesper's own Templar label and feature 14 tracks. The album will be released on the 9th of March with a limited double vinyl release to follow.

Infamous for numerous releases on Stephan Grieder's legendary Svek label in the 90s, The Persuader became a household name as a deep house wunderkind, a reputation bolstered by Jesper’s quintessential ‘Stockholm Mix Sessions’ CD compilation for Tiga's Turbo Records in the late 90's.

Shortly following the release of his acclaimed debut LP ‘Stockholm’ on Svek in 1999, The Persuader went into hibernation. Meanwhile Jesper continued to explore new boundaries in electronic composition and tour the globe, working with seminal artists as wide ranging as Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, LCD Soundsystem, Robyn and The Knife.

2013 marked the long anticipated awakening of The Persuader moniker with ‘Autumn Leaves EP’ via Parisian institution Concrete, followed by the sensational ‘Fusion of Thoughts’ via Pär Grindvik’s Stockholm Ltd, both releases demonstrating an immediate return to the mantle by The Persuader via typically tough yet delicate productions balancing analogue warmth and soul with mechanised precision. The Templar label was founded the following year by Dahlbäck as a vehicle for his newly revived alias and subsequently released three EPs of equally calculable excellence. These recent releases were utilised extensively by DJs last year, such as in Efdemin’s XL8R podcast and Marcel Dettmann’s chart topping Fabric 77. It’s safe to say that Skargard is an LP that the electronic music community has been eagerly anticipating for a over a decade.
