For the eleventh release on Caduceus, Myles Sergé has provided us with three original tracks along with a remix from prolific Argentine producer Jonas Kopp.
As a self professed reclusive perfectionist, and owner of the Suare Music Group which is home to his imprints RE(FORM), Space, (MS), and Dosed Recordings, Myles Sergé has firmly established himself as a DJ, musician and recording artist.
Myles has a haunting production style, which can be heard in his own releases as well as those from his other alias, Sergio MF Valente, and in collaboration with other artists as PNM and One Peoples.
Bright hats and deep stabs echo throughout opener "G", building a percussive groove that builds slowly before culminating towards the end with a dirty aggressive lead taking over and taking the track to it's peak time limits.
Title track 'Reeds Lake" is a more subdued affair with metallic percussion and spaced out pads meandering in and out as the track takes us on a journey of old school sounds that is easy to get lost in.
On the flip, "Memories Of Dismay" slows it down once more, with organic bell noises floating ominously over deep bass notes and an array of hats.
Blissful chords add to the natural feel of the track, complimenting the bells and synths beautifully.
Jonas Kopp finishes off the release with a rolling remix of "Reeds Lake". Kopp adds an acid bassline and a hypnotic lead to the spaced out pads of Myles, taking "Reeds Lake" to the higher echelons of the dance floor.
