Over the years they have amassed a lauded back catalogue of releases which has featured the likes of Move D, Endian, Radio Slave and Mark E. Now, in the follow up to their latest release from Last Magpie which featured Trevino on remix duties they ready their next release from Hypercolour mainstay Shenoda. Originally hailing from Cambridge, Shenoda is an artist who has astutely touched on many basis across a multifaceted back catalogue. Releases on Fear Of Flying, ManMakeMusic and Hypercolour offshoot Losing Suki have seen him meld Garage, House and Techno whilst all the while keeping his eye firmly on the needs of the dancefloor.
His latest offering kicks off with ‘Mancs’ that sets rapturous 90’s rave stabs and arresting vocal snips over a tough and tight low-end groove. ‘Nonamenoname’ then nestles a loose-limbed thud under a glassy pad and off-kilter hat patterns ahead of the interjection of a rough, tangled bass pattern. ‘Dave’s Myth’ then drives a stout kick under a thick, hazy texture before a rasping bass pattern steadily blooms into focus and rounds off another coup for Electric Minds.
