Allez! Here we go with the next release from Terence :Terry:’s highly-respected La Vie En Rose label. So far this year LVR has brought the heat with Terence’s solo EP ‘Acid Heroes’ and the superb mix compilation ‘House Couture’, which has received widespread praise. Now, we have this brand new EP from a true Paris legend, and an inspiration to Terence himself – the one and only, Jerome Pacman. Rising up in the early 90s, Jerome established himself through the Paris underground, and has remained one of the city’s finest selectors and producers. This four-track EP includes a remix from Romanian godfathers Livio & Roby and represents Jerome’s ability to throw down fresh, classic house rhythms with a modern twist. Kicking off with ‘Merry-Go-Round’, a bass-heavy rumbler imbued with subtle house tropes, we move into ‘JP Sunlight’, a bubbling groover with twinkly, dream-like effects and a bassline that will lock in from the get go. On the flip we have ‘Mpa’, a simple yet effective roller that will grip you with its repetitive groove and delicate use of detail in the background. Livio & Roby step up for the remix of ‘Mpa’, which focuses on a more unusual, organic sound ethic – typical of the Romanian sound that is so widely loved. A rework that is delivered with panache,
