Wallias Band were an Ethiopian jazz/funk outfit active from the 70’s until the 90’s. They recorded and worked with Mulatu Astatke. They were amongst the first Ethipian bands to tour the USA. ‘Muziqa Muziqa’ is an uptempo Ethio-funk jam, with a soaring vocal, driving organ, drums and brass. ‘Muziqawi Slit’ is a chugging, hypnotic Ethiopian jazz funk groover featuring organ player by Hailu Mergia.
