Sales Information:
The EPs’ opening and title track ‘Upsi Bubsi’ is a certified floor filler from the get go. The track opens with a thunderous mix of 909 loops alongside a repeated throb of intense arpeggiated bass. The track is peppered with splurges of crashing cymbals, rolling toms and the hypnotic looped vocal whispering ‘don’t stop’; a track clearly engineered for the dance floor. As the track builds, we are greeted with Egyptian styled keys, an unusual choice of sounds for most indeed, but a skill that we have become accustomed to in many of the duo’s productions. ‘Elixir’ offers a different experience to its counterpart with a collage of rising melodic chords and an 808 break beat. The track is a beautiful arrangement of graceful choir sounding melodies over warm sub-bass chords, seemingly inspired by early 90’s Detroit. The track takes full form introducing tribal drum patterns alongside splashes of keys and styled cosmic percussion. The track is a testament to the producer’s creative prowess, showcasing their broad abilities to tackle all styles and genres of dance music. This release undoubtedly highlights Catz N’ Dogz’ arsenal of talent in creating two very unique but equally as strong productions. Both possess the quality and pedigree of the duo’s back catalogue and are set to command the globe’s top dance floors.
