A lurching broken beat and detuned technicolour chords drive the title track, an ode to the ‘Nocturnal’ raves happening in his hometown as a kid. Caraiba is a hypnotic percussive workout, switching and snapping around it’s four-four palette and underpinned with a swaggering bass line. Loop-finding (4JO) rounds out the EP with scattered beats on top of a chopped and filtered sample of a rare-groove track, a fleeting but emotive sign-off for after hours listening.
