Already a prominent figure in the Windy City scene via his residency at Smart Bar and working as A&R and in-house buyer at Gramaphone Records, Garrett’s talents extend even further, right back to the lab, to the deep studio from whence all music grows. His Chicago-tinged-with-Detroit blend of clean, yet warm and occasionally raw bumpin’ house tracks showcase a kaleidoscope of grooves backed by heavy-seated drum programming and glacial, almost-interspatial padwork.
