Niro Perrone better known as simply Niro, or Easy To Remember, alongside sibling and production partner Elia Perrone, has come a long way over the past few years stacking up releases on the likes of M50’s revered Kimochi Sound, Sound Of Vast, Memento and The Dub, as well as releasing his debut LP on his Unclear imprint. Here though we see Niro introduce a new chapter with his brand new label PADS. ‘Hands Of Shadow’ opens the release and sets the tone of the label from the very beginning with an understated melodic feel fused with raw percussion and a subtly evolving yet intricate structure. ‘Inner Space’ follows and wanders into dub territories with spiralling echoes, low-slung drums and ethereal atmospherics. Title cut ‘Pieces Of You’ opens the flip side and lays focus on an infectious unfaltering groove via vacillating pad swells, sporadic jazz licks and a weighty 4/4 drive before closing cut ‘The Spectrometer Dance’ rounds it all off with some ambient vibes.
