NERVOUS RECORDS CELEBRATES 25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH LIMITED COLLECTORS EDITION DOUBLE PACK VINYL RELEASE.
As America’s longest active independent dance label, Nervous Records is currently celebrating 25 years in business. The Nervous catalogue includes seminal tunes from luminaries such as Josh Wink, Armand Van Helden, Masters At Work (Louie Vega and Kenny Dope), Murk (Oscar G and Ralph Falcon), Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Paul Van Dyk, Roger Sanchez, Kerri Chandler and more. One of the label’s strengths has been its ability to adapt to the changing nightlife environment. During its 25 year lifespan Nervous has had great success within the hip-hop, techno, deep house and indie dance genres as those respective sounds have emerged during this time period. But during the 1991 launch year it was all about essential New York House Music. And for many around the world, the distinctive Nervous logo featuring a cartoon DJ with a record going through his head will forever represent that sound. For the Limited Collectors Edition Double Pack release, we have included 8 tracks that were burning up turntables from New York to London to Tokyo when house music was dominating the soundtrack to the night in the early 90’s.
Some of the most renowned producers in the history of house are represented in this double pack, including Kenny Dope, Louie Vega, Todd Terry, Kerri Chandler, Mood II Swing, Wayne Gardiner and Joe T. Vannelli.
