His debut on T.R.U. contains 2 deep excursions with 7 of 9 and Ahead, both tech house masterworks that mix elements of Chicago and Detroit with a Texas flair that keeps it definitively Bill Converse. Ahead in particular brings Ron Trent’s Altered States to mind as well as some of Boo Williams’ premier work with its synths swirling around the metallic 909 percussion
