DJ support comes from Ben UFO, Jon K and Hodge. Semtek returns with his first work since 2012, when he contributed 12inches to World Unknown, Awkward Movements and In Plain Sight. In the meantime the Cambridge-born, Bristol-based producer and DJ has been hard at work running his label Don t Be Afraid, bringing through talent including Mr Beatnick and MGUN. Bad Teeth consists of nothing more complicated than two complementary tracks for the dancefloor, inspired by bleep n bass, jungle and two-step. The title track rolls moody synths, metallic stabs and offbeat drums into a rugged UK house joint. Jon Of Worcester twists similar elements around a broken groove, cutting between drum machine and breakbeats. Both tracks feature rolling basslines tuned for maximum soundsystem pressure.
