BTAIM resumes its line of raw techno templates with a pair of stripped-back but funked-up floor killers. Promising Berlin-upstart Tecture draws inspiration both from his hometown as well as Detroit, delivering two highly effective yet emotive club weapons. Their bold basement vibe may seem grim on the surface, but they glimmer with hope underneath. It is this very interplay between murk and melancholy that embodies the record with dynamic textures and a narrative. In similar fashion Trevino pairs imposing low end rumble and bright arps, reworking the title track into his own DnB-reminiscent signature style. With the addition of BTAIM006 to their catalogue, both artist and label have placed themselves on this year‘s watch lists for sure.
