Gatefold double coloured vinyl LP version. This is the debut album by producer Rodden von Ast, the man from Mecklenburg Vorpommern. Von Ast isn t new to the business. His last two releases and his own imprint Sumpfsee Records putting him right into the spotlight. On the Altkamp album the busy producer finds time to entertain you with eight stellar tracks on the vinyl version, which come across as well-structured little stories, drowning the dancefloor. All in all sounds that are unmistakably in the family of or are related to the enchanted moments we know from Kalkbrenner but as well as techno moments. The opener „Altkamp- is a restlessly inventive bricolage of unconventional sounds and textures. -Bettfett- is a masterclass in crisp, high-definition techno, as christal synths, a solid kick, and an insistent bass stab form a deeply hypnotic groove. -Gedeih and Verderb- with mate Herr Maarec draws on spacious arrangements of dub techno elements, burnished with snickering percussive repetition and scything synths. „Unser Klonet - is a spacey burner that builds into an indisputable festival-rocker, complete with punchy claps, descending bass-line.
