The new EP from Mr. Dello is an example of dedication artistic freedom. Three different and powerful slices of contemporary techno, Mr. Dello explores the deeper, darker recesses of his psyche drawing on emotions, moods and feelings to portray his vision. With his own history seeped in Greek mythology, he is no stranger to celebrating civic pride, and the ‘Vaadhoo’ EP packs plenty of punches from the Kathisma resident. ‘Maureta’ powers into life with insistent low end and spacey sonic nuances, making way for deep pads to lift the mood. ‘Aige’ features some exceptional drum programming and a repeated vocal sample to whip the crowd into a frenzy, and finally, the title track ‘Vaadhoo’ utilizes a solid bassline and clicky percussion to create an energetic conclusion.
