Having previously released on the likes of Meda Fury, Bahnsteig23 and Le Temps Perdu, the ,,Thrown Furniture EP,, sees Pletnev delve into the harder-edged side of his work. The A-side features ,,Her Cruel Smile ,,and Thrown Furniture, ,,two acid fuelled workouts with a strong rhythmic pulse and those afro-tinged samples that are fast becoming a characteristic sound of the artist. The B-side kicks off with ,,My First Teacher, ,,a creepy and slow burning trip that gets right under the skin. Rounding off the release is a remix from Ploy, coming off the back of his standout EPs for Hemlock and Hessle Audio, the remix is a dive headfirst into the distinctive sludgy sound of this young artist.
