Frits Wentinks label Bobby Donny welcomes back young US producer TLIM SHUG for a second EP after his last effort back in 2016. His house sound has developed nicely but remains resolutely deep and atmospheric. It s the sound of a slow train on a warm summer s day, passing through the countryside and encourage you to daydream. Warm, fuzzy pads drift by as muted Rhodes keys bring a jazz touch. Occasional clever vocal sounds ensure a certain intimacy and romanticism to the deep house grooves. Its a lo-fi and imperfect beatdown record with well-sampled drums adding a touch of soul.
