Arkansas native, Lee Moore moved to Memphis in 1975 with only one goal in mind: to make it big in the music industry and to release music that would be played in New York, L.A and everywhere in between. As a singer and songwriter Lee Moore spent the 1980s collaborating in Memphis with the best of the best session musicians and vocalists from labels like Volt and Stax Records to record and release futuristic boogie, soul, and funk. Lee Moore unfortunately never got close to reach his goals of fame and fortune. For the first time, Past Due Records is reissuing Lees incredible Free & Easy LP which was only released as a handful of test pressings in 1981 because Lee thought the record was too good to release on his Score Records label. It is a pure Memphis modern soul / boogie funk masterpiece that features countless artists from the Stax crew, Al Greens vocalists and even Herbie Hancocks keyboard player. The 1981 test pressing has commanded huge sums of money on the used vinyl market and is one for the real Soul connoisseur
