Orient meets Occident. Collector edition of Jaime Zenamon’s debut album from 1984 available now! Zenamon studied guitar and composition in Israel, Spain, Portugal and in various South American countries. He a was student of Abel Carlevaro and worked as teacher at the Berlin music university (HdK) from 1980 until 1992. The album was recorded at Christopher Franke’s (Tangerine Dream) studio and features Udo Hanten from the cult Krautrock project YOU. Similar sound compared to Cluster, Neu!, Kraftwerk but with stronger esoteric world music influences. Nandu Muley playing the Santoor, a 100 string music instrument which was already used by Assyrian musicians for the production of their hits some thousand years ago :) Originally released on Polydor in 1984 the album get’s re-released for the first time by Private Records in 2015. Remastered from the original master tapes at 24 Bit. Really rare recordings, especially the 12“ is one of the most valuable and sought after german electronic records of the 1980’s.
