Los Suruba proudly present the fifth release signed by their record label NAZCA called ‘El Abuelo’ by Rodrigo Gallardo, accompanied by the pleasant voice of Fernando Milagros. Los Suruba are involved in many musical projects like signing a remix with the DJ and designer Marcelo Burlon, one of the big names in the new generation fashion industry and owner of the brand County of Milan amongst others. Los Suruba themselves, after signing tracks that will be out soon with Sol Selectas and Tale & Tone back this EP with a remix followed by Dandara who has released with Underyourskin, Lump and Slowsociety.
NAZCA Records is born out of the uplifting relationship established between the Viracochas, beings from a different world and the Nazcas, peaceful people that were known for their love for music, dance and nature. The connection between the advanced world of the Viracochas and the archaic one of the Nazcas it’s what inspires every release on this record label and this one was not going to be different.
First, we have Rodrigo Gallardo, a Chilean musician that continually explores the folklore of South America and introduces it in the electronic music. Second, but not least, there is the element of the voice of Fernando Milagros, a significant musician and composer from the independent music scene, also from Chile. These two artists alongside with the ones in charge of their remixes are here to deliver a tribute to the Viracochas and the Nazcas by creating this entire EP that glides effortlessly between moments of absolute reflection, with powerful lyrics and club-ready rhythms. The sound element of the quena flute adds valuable dynamics to the musical arrangements making this record a balance between modern beats and folkloric elements.
