Emerging producer Patrick Conway delivers the goods on the second EP to be released on Art E-Fax. E-FAX002 is a selection of submerged breaks, dark and spectral bass grooves and washed out melodies all combining to make release that is as eerie as it is infectious. A producer who describes his influences as being -transcendental meditation, UK Rave, Sheffield bleep/Warp records, Carl Craig circa the early 90s, Silent Servant, Shabba Ranks and joss sticks smoking out the studio-, it s not hard to hear the shadowy, dense smoke and heavy calm that unifies those inspirations.
