Funky soul from 70s Brazil – a set that's got all the depth of Tim Maia's work of the time, but also a warmer glow in the style – thanks to some great jazzy touches in the instrumentation! Carlos Dafe arranged a fair bit of the music himself, and also plays guitar on the set – but the record also features top-shelf help from Christovao Bastos on Fender Rhodes, whose sound here rolls around the vocals wonderfully – whether things are upbeat and groovy, or nicely laidback and soulful! There's also a nice bit of production on Carlos' vocals, which makes things sound very cool – on titles that include "Bem Querer", "Hello Mr Wonder", "A Cruz", "De Alegria Raiou O Dia", "Ze Marmita", and "O Metro".
